Splish! Splash! (I am not taking a bath!)
Few things give me such delight as clothing.  Here the worlds of all I love and hold near come colliding together. Pattern! Floral! Turban! White shoes with black stockings! YSL lipstick! Amazing faux alligator frame handbag with bakelite handle! (dramatic sigh.)  I am in love with the lady-like vibe happening for Fall. Thank you Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton! Hallelujah! Here I added my own 1970’s twist to the trend.
Floral top and skirt: Vintage Montgomery Ward from Salvation Army.  If I wanted to cut down on the drama of head to toe floral (I understand most people would never wear it like this) I would pair this with skinny denim, riding boots, and cinch it at the waist.  Add a cute cropped leather bomber and viola! Weekend chic!
Belt: Vintage Gucci reversible belt from Goodwill.  I love throwing in this logo pattern. In my book, pattern on pattern is always a good idea as long as it is done correctly and with aplomb!
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs white and navy mary jane heels purchased at Barney’s NY in NYC about 6 years ago.  Black and White! Never fear! Even in Winter? Yes! Yes! And Yes!
Turban: Flea market in Florida.  Tuck in all your hair.  Who wants to hassle?
Now for that bath…wait…I never want to take this off. Ever.

M*A*S*H my way.
Army is here again. It comes, it goes. It takes its leave (no pun intended) then returns again. There is no getting away, and good thing that’s just how I like it.  For these last few golden days of summer, take Fall’s distressed denim, a khaki tank, brown belt and a little aplomb.  When the nights starting getting a bit cooler we will layer this up.  Oh-my-heart-be-still. Until then? Report for duty.
Tank top: Scored this today for $2.00 at Target! Underneath to add a lill’ jazz I paired it with a strapless front zip neoprene bikini top in NEON! Also from Target.
Denim: Genetic from Rowe
Boots: Vintage Justin boots from Vintage Vogue Independence (picked these up in Missouri over the weekend!)
Belt: Salvation Army
Hangbag: Vintage Charles Klein from Vintage Vogue.  Did I ever mention how chic black and brown are?  Well, I just did.

If I knew you were coming…I’d a baked a cake?
Nah, I don’t bake.  The closest I get is just looking like a sweet confectionary treat.  And really, that’s enough for me. (It should be enough for us all!)
Lace seems to be everywhere for Fall.  There are great ways to work it into a Fall wardrobe.  Here I have it with socks. If it were colder (or more air conditioned) I would do black opaque tights instead.  A cropped leather bomber layered on top would be quite the cherry, no? YES!
Ingredients:
1, Vintage lace top that I cut the sleeves off of about 10 years ago from a Salvation Army in Long Island NY.
1, Vintage Pucci lace night gown (score! found this last week at a Salvation Army in Columbus OH!) layered under the lace top.
1, Thrift store lace shirt that I actually stepped through the neck hole (tearing did ensue here) since I didn’t have a slip and was actually quite pleased with the outcome. This all equals 3 layers of lacy goodness, mmmm!
Add 1, paid of black socks and 1, pair of Proenza Schouler heels, Mix according to instructions and…get out of the house because cupcake, you look too cute to stay in.

White Out.
There are rules about white.  Bad rules.  Rules that someone made up, which I am not sure why they did (seriously! who’s hating on white?) . Nonetheless. White is frightening. Hard to wear. So people stay away.  I say the time has come to draw near! Embrace white! love white! Stand out in a sea of black and look chic as all get out! Wear it head to toe! And (GASP!) even in the winter! Winter white is about the most amazing thing I have ever experienced.  Try it with black tights! But. Just. Try it!
Dress: One shoulder grecian stunner from Rowe boutique in Columbus OH.  Go Rowe!
www.roweboutique.com
Shoes: Ann Demeulemeester wedges with attachable spats from Barneys NY.
Earrings: Vintage! All the statement this dress needs and it adds a pop of color.
Special thanks to Maren at Rowe for letting me shoot this dress. xo.

Jump for Jacobs!
Got some more shots from Nick and I love this outfit. (happy sigh!) It’s simple but cool.  It says something without being too over the top but just over the top enough for me (the shoes really take it there, thanks Marc!)
Pants: 1950’s metallic gold cigarette pants Vintage Vogue KCMO
Silk Tank: Goodwill Columbus OH
Shoes: Marc Jacobs

Gray Day.
It’s unofficially gray day.  Gray is such a fabulous neutral, it looks so good popped with color, especially jewel tones (even though I am showing a monochromatic look here I just wanted to add that tidbit in. Mmmmm!)  I love this look.  Love the delicate pleating and rosette detail on the blouse. The pants are high waist and sleek which perfectly balance out that busier top and I love the shoes.  Who doesn’t obsessively covet Miu Miu? Tell me who and we’ll have a tete a tete…
Blouse: Vintage that I bought about 10 years ago, score! Vintage lasts a long time, the pieces are great investments.  Not only will no other girl be wearing your top but vintage offers a way to really cultivate personal style.
Pants: High waist from my favorite purveyor of high waist pants…ReRuns in KCMO.
Shoes: I repeat. Miu Miu. Plaid flannel platform from Saks.
